Models eligible for default enablement

Beast mode is a fine example of a preamble that positively modifies LLM behavior substantially in general. Supported AI models per client

In Visual Studio Code you can add more models than those that are available by default with your Copilot subscription. The following table shows which models are available in each client. The latest Copilot models support the following extended capabilities. See Base and long-term support (LTS) models and About Copilot auto model selection. For example, as the long term support model, GPT-5.3-Codex will be used in the event no other models are available. Available models may be limited by model policies.

@joemckie this is an “old” post, but still brig good information about Agent prompt, the AI landscape just moves fast. VS Code is giving some warnings about changing tool names now, and the location of the agent files has changed. I’m creating more refined version about chat mode instructions, and refined with Gemini . The memory is stored in a file called .github/instructions/memory.instructions.md.

😐That just sounds too gimmicky, and I encourage people to not use or make chatmodes like that. I created this chatmode agent after analyzing beast-mode and have been using it extensively at work. Is this still relevant to implement for copilot or have they already pulled these into the default Agent mode?
